Grant MacEwan University men's soccer is happy to announce the newest member of the coaching staff!  Danny Jeffery has been named assistant coach for the 2010-2011 season.  Head coach Cam Leverman is ecstatic to have someone with Danny's qualifications join the Griffins coaching staff.  "Danny is exactly what we need as we strive towards an ACAC championship team in the future and a competitive team for years to come.  Danny brings a wealth of experience and expertise, as well as a new enthusiasm to recruiting that was missing over the past few years" 

When asked to talk about the quote from Anson Dorrance "the vision of a champion is someone who is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion when no one else is watching", Danny responded by saying "The quote above symbolizes what I as a coach am trying to achieve.  Soccer is a tool through which the opportunity exists for an individual or player to further improve his or her skills and knowledge of the game, while learning and developing many positive life skills."
