This weekend, February 26-28, MacEwan University is host to the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Championships for Women's Volleyball. Eight of the top teams in the conference will vie for the gold medal and the chance to compete at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association Nationals.

Visiting MacEwan this weekend are the Briercrest Clippers, Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves, Keyano Huskies, Lakeland Rustlers, Mount Royal University Cougars, NAIT Ooks, Red Deer Queens and our very own Grant MacEwan Griffins.

Because the Griffins finished first in the North division, the women earned this opportunity to play in the Provincial tournament on home court. Seeded third going into the weekend, their first match will be on Friday against the sixth place Briercrest Clippers at 8:00 pm. Admission is five dollars for adults, two dollars for students and children 12 and under are free.
