Ryan MacDonald is MacEwan’s Male Athlete of the Week. Ryan had a tremendous weekend against the NAIT Ooks. With impressive stats over the course of both nights, Ryan played a crucial role in the Griffins Victory. On Friday night Ryan had 16 kills, 3 aces, 7 digs and a block. Saturday’s performance left him with 10 kills, 1 ace, and 8 digs. Ryan served aggressive and consistent and had an impressive 30% and 45% kill efficiency for the respective nights.

MacEwans Athlete of the Week is Nicole Scherger # 21. She scored the tying Goal in the gold medal match on Sunday and sent the team on their way to victory against Concordia. With less than 30 seconds left Nicole scored with an awesome kick to the top left corner. Nicole has been an outstanding player for MacEwan this year. She is a solid defender with a great boot. Nicole also played and won national NAIA titles in the States during her career. Nicole's first goal of the year couldn't have come at a better time!!!
